TriangleOS is a 32-bit hobby multitasking, multithreaded Operating System for the x86 platform, written from scratch by author in C and Assembly. It is not based on any other Operating System.
Project was started in 2001, mainly because author wanted to create something new, and out of interest for Operating Systems. Goal of this operating system is not to create another Unix, Windows, Linux clone. Main ambition of the project is to try out new things, play with new interfaces, concepts and implementations. Although working on TriangleOS is mainly a hobby, author likes to come up with a new system that can actually be useful to others as well.
